International Projects

India and China have been a focus of both humanitarian and education grants by the W. P. Carey Foundation.

  • In January, 2001, following the devastating earthquake in Gujarat, India, the Foundation earmarked $1 million to aid in relief efforts and redevelop educational institutions there. Funds have been committed to various organizations including CARE.
  • In 2003, The W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University launched the highest level Executive MBA program in the world in collaboration with the Shanghai National Accounting Institute and the Chinese Ministry of Finance. This represents the first partnership between a U.S. business school and the Chinese government on Chinese soil.
