Since joining the International Investment Team at its founding in 2003, Mr. Lefleur has focused on the international growth of the Company and has been actively developing its new business in Western Europe. As a specialist in the structuring of IAS / IFRS compliant sale-leaseback financing for special-purpose industrial real estate, Mr. Lefleur has helped to close the Company's first deals in Canada, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, and Thailand. Mr. Lefleur has been involved in the closing of more than $1 billion in long-term sale-leaseback financing on behalf of W. P. Carey, particularly for turnaround, restructuring, and highly leveraged private companies in the manufacturing sector.
Mr. Lefleur joined W. P. Carey as an analyst in its Treasury department in 2000. Prior to W. P. Carey, Mr. Lefleur worked at P. Schoenfeld Asset Management performing various risk-arbitrage analyses, as well as for the Internal Audit Department of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Mr. Lefleur graduated from New York University's Stern School of Business with a double major in Finance and Accounting.
