Mr. Hooker joined the investment department in 2003. He is responsible for sourcing and analyzing commercial and industrial properties for possible investment.
Prior to joining W. P. Carey, Mr. Hooker was the founder and CEO of Tinshed Corporation, a venture capital firm based in Sydney, Australia. Before founding Tinshed, he was an investment officer with the Asian Infrastructure Fund based in Hong Kong.
Mr. Hooker started his professional career at PriceWaterhouse as an analyst on the firm’s China desk. Based in Sydney, Australia, his primary role was to evaluate investment opportunities for Australian firms wishing to invest in Greater China.
Mr. Hooker graduated with a B.Sc. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with a concentration in finance. He was a Bronze Medalist in rowing at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.
